These ice cream truck freezers are built with extra insulation (3+”), cold plates, and oversized compressors to quickly pull down the freezer overnight so you can be out selling ice cream all day, even in the hottest weather, and not have to rely on using a generator or dry ice.
Cold plates are standard on these models. Plug the freezer into a standard electrical outlet overnight and the next day you are ready for a full selling day of ice cream and other frozen desserts without the need for electricity or dry ice.

At night, plug the unit in (it should be a regular 115 volt outlet) and let the cold plates freeze overnight.
The freezer is ready to use in the morning (or 10-12 hours later) and can maintain zero degrees for up to 12 hours without the use of an electric source or dry ice. Other temperatures, such as +6 degrees F. for dipping ice cream, +2 degrees F. for scooping Italian ices, +25 degrees F. for soft frozen slushes, and +40 degrees F. for refrigerated products, can be used for particular applications.
